It’s always a bit difficult to get going after Essen. There is all these new games, but they need to be played before I can write about them. But to bridge the time, I can give you an update on our last review before Essen: Prêt-à-Porter.

You may remember, the review was missing a component score because it was bases on a pre-production copy of the game, with many components hand-drawn and glued together. Since Essen we have an actual copy and can fix that gap.

Not much has changed in the design, everything still looks the same, only now it looks good. The quality of all the components is very good, and the better print quality makes the cards a lot easier to read from the other side of the table – a small issue that we had with the pre-release copy. You will still need to consult the rules about how exactly some of the card works because they are too complex for icons in some cases, but at least you will know what to look for. There is also a bit more information on the board, telling you how many workers can go to a location with which number of players, a very useful addition since we overlooked the restriction in our first two games.

All in all, I’m very happy with the final product.
