  • Potion-making: Practice

Creating magic potions and elixirs isn’t easy, we all know that since a certain young wizard had to struggle through his Potions classes. But being able to create them yourself does have a certain appeal, doesn’t it? It’s time for Potion-making practice.

  • Kingsburg

Kingsburg is a medieval dice-fest about building up your shire (no, not The Shire, but you can always add a bit of roleplay if you want) and defeating demons and dragons that attack each winter, all through bribery at the court. It seems the ends do justify the means here.

  • Northwest Passage Adventures

The way from Europe to the western coast of the US and Canada used to be one of the hardest. You either unloaded everything and travelled by land, or you went all the way around Cape Horn, at the tip of South America. Not a fun trip. There had long been speculation that a passage exists around the north of the continent, but many set out to find it, and for a long time they returned without success. And then, when someone finally managed to go all the way by boat, it still was hard, and dangerous, and the Panama Canal opened just a few years later. But they did find the Northwest Passage. And so can you.

  • Bora Bora

Bora Bora, a peaceful place in the pacific ocean. Here men are handsome and elaborately tattooed, women are beautiful and do nothing but collect seashells on the beach and the gods can be swayed to help you with a simple fruit basket. At least, all that is the case in the newest game by Stefan Feld, a game of many difficult decision, evil dice, handsome men with tattoos and … you know the rest. A very intricate game where everything is somehow connected. Bora Bora.

  • Terra Mystica

Terra Mystica was the first game by German publisher Feuerland Spiele last year, and to say that it turned out popular is a bit of an understatement. It’s an entirely peaceful fantasy game about colonizing the world, there is no direct conflict, no destroying opposing settlements. But space is very limited and you’ll soon be standing on everyone’s feet. Even more so because the game punishes you for being far away from everyone else. So, did it deserve the rave reviews so far?

  • 7 Wonders: Babel

7 Wonders is still one of the most popular games out there. Simple rules, quick to play even with 7 players, different every time you play. It’s no wonder the expansions keep coming. They might not necessarily improve the game, just because it’s very good already, but they add enough to keep 7 Wonders interesting even after many, many games played. Babel is the latest expansion, and the one that changes the game the most yet.

  • Battle for Supremacy

Superheroes and Villains are loose in the not-so-peacefull city of Centropolia. We all know how these two types never get along, and so it doesn’t take long before the public property damage reaches the million dollar border. Actually, we don’t know that, all we care about im Battle for Supremacy is punching the other guy on the nose.

  • Chrononauts

Remember history lessons from school? Yeah, me neither. Too many dates to remember. So how about we just go and mix up history until it matches the answers that we thought were right?
