Well, it seems boardgame news are already on holiday break, so this week’s post is shorter than we’re all used to.

Some innovations really do change everything, and this week’s Terraforming Mars preview card predicts Anti-Gravity will be one of them. It’s hard to disagree there, there is no area of civilization it wouldn’t have an impact on. Its effect in the game is appropriately universal, once you have enough science and money to invent it Anti-Gravity makes all further cards you play cheaper.
Spielworxx
Spielworxx will publish a new game by Michael Keller and Andreas Odendahl, designers of La Granja, next summer. This game, which has now been announced as Solarius Mission, will be a pulp space colonization game where players control Earth’s nations in a race to colonize space, exploit new planets and build bigger space stations. From the description, Solarius Mission will be a dice drafting game with resource management and will likely be a bit lighter than La Granja.

The last three days of the Perdition’s Mouth Kickstarter campaign are in progress, so if the idea of a completely diceless dark dungeon crawler excites you, now is the time to jump in. No overlord player required, all players cooperate against sinister cultists and disturbing insectoid creatures, and if you back it on Kickstarter you get a free expansion – and I get my copy!
