  • Alcatraz: The Scapegoat

They say no one ever escaped from Alcatraz. If you want to be the first, you will have to work together with the other inmates. But watch out, or you might be left behind, because for all its cooperation required, Alcatraz: The Scapegoat is anything but a cooperative game.

  • Dixit 2

Sometimes, game expansion are best when they change nothing at all. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it, as they say.
Is this nugget of wisdom true for Dixit 2?

  • Rococo

Games about making dresses are a tough sell. Between games about conquest, economic success and survival, tailoring just doesn’t compare. So to stand out, a game about making ballroom gowns needs to excel in other areas. Having well linked games mechanics and a new take on deck-building might do the trick for Rococo.

  • Battle for Supremacy

Superheroes and Villains are loose in the not-so-peacefull city of Centropolia. We all know how these two types never get along, and so it doesn’t take long before the public property damage reaches the million dollar border. Actually, we don’t know that, all we care about im Battle for Supremacy is punching the other guy on the nose.

  • Thunderstone: Starter Set

How often has this happened to you? You are peacefully tending to your farm, and suddenly a hole in the ground opens up and monsters come streaming out. Next you know, a bunch of heroes are charging you a ridiculous fee to take care of the problem and then make off with the monsters’ treasures as well. Being a Villager in Thunderstone is little fun. But you, you’re one of those heroes.

  • Blokus 3D

It’s the trend of these last two years to slap a “3D” on everything and double the price. We now have 3D movies that no one ever asked for and that force you to do unnatural things with your eyes. We have 3D televisions just to watch those movies. And we have Blokus 3D.

  • Anno Domini

Although we do like our deep, strategic games, not all games have to be that to be fun. In fact, when done well, even very simple games involving trivia knowledge can be a ton of fun.

  • Caravelas

Caravelas takes you back to the age of exploration, when courageous men crossed the oceans in rather unsafe ways in search for wealth and glory.
